Bérénice Awouters (°20 -02-1998) started to play the violin at the age of 6. She received her first violinlessons at home, from her parents, and after she went to ‘muziekacademie Tongeren’.
Bérénice performed several times as soloist with orchestra and had the chance to play with: Limburgs Orkest Jeugd en Muziek, Brussels Sinfonietta, Symfonieorkest Zuiderkempen, Orchestra ‘Muziekacademie Maaseik’, The BOWs (in several pieces from Mozart, Ravel, Bruch, Bach, Saint-Saens, De Sarasate…)
Bérénice is a member of Brussels Sinfonietta, and she also plays in the orchestra ‘Limburgs Orkest Jeugd en Muziek’ (2011-…). She is a laureate of ‘Prinses Christina Concours’, ‘Prix Dominique’ and ‘Jong Talent Limburg’.
Bérénice also co-operates with several choirs (Basilicakoor Tongeren, Cantate Maasmechelen, Fusion (Nl), Quint (Nl), Karolingers Maaseik…) and she is also part of the ensemble ‘the BOWs’.
She participated in masterclasses from Lei Wang, Guido De Neve, Alexander Pavtchinskii, Elisa Kawaguti, Chikako Hosoda.
From 2013 till 2016, Bérénice was a student at ‘Kunsthumaniora Brussel’, where she studied with Erik Sluys. In 2015 she also started lessons with Kyoko Yonemoto at conservatorium Maastricht (in Junior Class). And since 2016, Bérénice is a Bachelor student in the class of Mrs. Yonemoto.
