Received the Virtuosity Prize at Geneva Conservatory and diploma in Concours International de Contrebasse Giovanni Bottesini. After the competition she was offered a contract by Michel Plasson as solo double bass at Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse. She also has collaborated with Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Lausanne Orchestre de Chambre and Lausanne Sinfonietta.

But her passion is the education so she teaches at Geneva Conservatory and Accademia d’Archi young double bass students from the early age of 6. Moreover, she is the conductor of the Music School Orchestra in Geneva Conservatory from which she develops many education projects.

In Geneva Conservatory Music High School Mirella receives students from all over the world and spreads the excellent tradition of her mentor Franco Petracchi. She teaches also at Aragon Music Conservatory and gives master courses in Italy, Spain, France and Bulgaria, where she is well-known by her prestigious pedagogy.

Her performances as soloist and chamber musician have brought her many success in Switzerland and all over the world.
